I use blank patterns between sets of patterns to make it easy to see/remember what belongs together.
EDIT: so for your example above would be:
A1: intro
A3: Beat drop #1
A5 & A6: Breakdown
A8: Beat drop #2
…which would light the leds like this when pressing the pattern button:
* * ** *
…which I find helps me keep track of what is what.
