Attempting to replicate an alpha juno and a dsi mopho with the analog keys

Has anyone else tried this? The sooner I can get this down the sooner i can get rid of the alpha juno and the mopho. the inability to set the sub octave level on the analog keys is killing me here :frowning:

Wouldn’t that kind of depend on which aspects of those synths you want to replimulate? The A4 doesn’t have the Curtis filter the mopho has so it’s never going to sound the same, the alpha Juno has more voices than the A4 so that’s going to be an issue. Just some arbitrary examples…

Can the A4 oscs ring-mod each other? this is essential to the juno sound, to get the PWM saws and the PW subs.

I have almost exclusively used the mopho for bass. Since this post i have pretty much programmed it out of necessity as well as the alpha juno but it took some really tiring tweaks to accomplish. You are right about the curtis filter. This is my third time replacing a synth that uses that filter with one that doesn’t and I always end up missing the curtis filter a lot. My band has toured and recorded for a while with the mopho as our primary bass synth and either a juno 106 or alpha juno as a secondary poly to the main poly (OB 6). Bought the analog keys thinking I could reduce our setup from a 3 to 2 synth set up

not really but you can use the pretty intuitive amplitude modulation on the A4 to get close

is it a mopho keys? or the desktop?

desktop

Booo! Im debating to trade up my desktop for a keys/SE/x4
At least the desktop isnt terrible to drag around. A juno on the otherhand…
Also a good time be selling alpha juno’s. Amazing the prices they are fetching now.

my bandmate has the SE and i know he is potentially looking to sell it soon! I bought a desktop because i was tired of having to bring a secondary stand for the keys. Also I already regret selling my alpha juno lol such a good synth

That would be one good start  Then, just AM the sawtooth with a pulse wave one and/or three octave above, and boom, you have it.
