Backing track not in playing right tempo or key

Ok, I know that this is in a thread somewhere, but I have been searching for a while and can’t find it.

I am very new to Octatrack but have been fiercely studying it by reading the manual, watching MacProVideo and YouTube (Thanks Cuckoo and others!!)

  1. I created a backing track in Ableton and mixed it down to a .WAV file.
  2. Copied it to my CF card
  3. Loaded it into a slot on a Static machine
  4. Turned TSTR OFF on the track
  5. Told the track to play SLOTS
  6. Pushed the Lit up SLOT button

The track is playing at a much slower tempo and in a lower key.

Have not been able to figure out what is going on. Can anybody help me?

What samplerate do you use?

The sample rate was the problem. For some reason I have been having problems with my Windows 10 forcing my Motu 828 MK3 to default to 48000. I put it back to 44100 and re-bounced the track. Reloaded into the Octatrack and it’s working great.
