After a massive amount of googling, I finally found my goldilocks mixer to replace my 1010 Bluebox.
This thing is such a beast and has replaced my Bluebox, Focusrite 2i2 and TC Helicon vocal effects unit. Couldn’t be happier. The effects are top notch and the midi control is what I was always wishing the bluebox would be.
My Digitakt controls my Typhon and Argon and I have the four midi tracks on the Digitone dedicated to controlling the XR12 faders and snapshot changes.
My missing features list that it satisfied, coming from the Bluebox:
- Full size jacks
- Mic Pres
- Phantom power
- Midi scene/snapshot change
The only thing on my list that it didn’t satisfy was multi-track audio interface, but using the mixer aux out and Overbridge is pretty smooth and I can upgrade to XR18 in the future if it becomes a pain.
On the advice of X AIR facebook group members I’ve switched to Mixing station. This allows me full control from my phone and laptop simultaneously.
