Can L/R audio inputs be used for a stereo synth?

I’m try to route my Peak into the A4 using the Ext In on the FX track but only the right channel is heard. I’ve turned the Level up on both channels but sound is only coming through on the R channel. Can you use the A4 inputs as a stereo pair or are they mono only? Any tips for setting this up?

My bad, one of my cables wasn’t pushed in correctly

You can. Hard pan ext in on the A4 left and right. That should work.

Thanks for it working now

Would be nice if there was a way to link the two channels in the A4 so you don’t have to adjust chorus, delay, reverb and level for the two channels independently.

you can pick up to 5 params to coordinate in performance mode with your own macros

Okay thanks, not looked at performance mode yet.

Performamce macros also make it possible to process a stereo source through A4/AKs filters, modulation and fx.

You’d use two tracks for that (A4/AKs synth tracks are monophonic), one track for the left signal and one for the right - Just select L as osc input on one track and R on the second track and create macros for filters etc. Each macro would control the parameter on both tracks. If you select L on osc1 and R on osc2, the stereo source will be summed to mono.

Epecially drums and percussion sound great through the A4/AK.
I usually set up the second filter as highpass, so I can have lowpass with the first filter and hp with the second.
You can even make a “dj type” lp/hp with a bipolar macro knob - turn knob to the left -> lowpass, turn to the right -> highpass. Two knobs for resonance of the two filters, if you like. Then filter overdrive, macros for envelopes, lfo, maybe fx. Much fun!

Couldn’t you just route L Input to Osc 1 and R to Osc 2 on the same track?

This will sum the input to mono. The synth tracks are monophonic, you need two for stereo.
