Hello,
I am trying to update the OS for my A4MK1 as it is currently only on 1.40. I am trying to do it via USB, as I saw a youtube tutorial of someone doing it that way by pressing ‘function’ and ‘global’ at the same time.
The menu he is accessing by doing this in the video is not at all the menu I am getting when I do this though.
I am attaching a photo of what I see in my own machine when attempting this menu function.
Get this though, as it is even more strange, is that I have tried it several times and I kid you not that ONE time, it actually did show the correct menu.
So, that being said, is it possible there is a faulty CPU inside my A4 and it’s malfunctioning while in menu options?
Thank you for your advice.

are you sure though that you aren’t holding the global button too long though ?!? , that would give you the projects menu - a short press and a long press will give different menus
if not that, i wouldn’t know why - but you can test the buttons in test mode
do so carefully - read the manual first on early srtartup menu
basically hold function when booting
choose test mode
review feedback
press buttons and the UI will give feedback - maybe some are not triggering right or are triggering too much or incorrectly - it’ll be useful as a precursor to contacting support - clearly something isn’t happening right at your end - check the global button press timing though
I get an error with test mode.
HOWEVER, yes, pressing the buttons for a short time does access the correct menu! I was unaware the time amount of pressing accessed different menus. It’s possible that when I read the manual that I had forgotten that information, as there is a lot within there.
I appreciate your help very much. Thank you.
