I’m a brand new Digitone owner and has spent much of the last few days diving into it (haven’t come very far, as I’m still learning the Elektron basics!).
I’m interested in the DN’s sequencing capabilities. I have a couple of DSI/Sequential synths which AFAIK can carry out bidirectional MIDI instructions over USB. They also have MIDI DIN ports.
If I’m looking to let the DN sequence an external synth – must the DN sequence over a MIDI DIN cable, or can the DN sequence over USB (DN → USB → MacOS/Ableton Live → USB → External gear)?
maybe you have to activate midi to usb in the menu
