Capturing midi from Syntakt with overbridge

I’m trying to figure out a neat workflow for capturing audio and midi from my groovebox sketches/jams/ideas into Ableton and setting up some templates. Main reason is that sometimes I keep the audio but other times I like to go in and replace certain elements from the groove boxes with other samples or plugins.

Currently I have

  1. A stereo audio ref track and a simple 16 ch MIDI template for my Yamaha QY70 via an OG TE Oplab
  2. A stereo audio ref track and 12 ch MIDI template for TE OP-Z
  3. A 15 channel multichannel audio capture for Syntakt via Overbridge, but I’m having no luck also grabbing the MIDI too.

Is there a way to capture both audio and MIDI data from Syntakt/overbridge? Or do I need to clone my patterns and turn tracks/channels on the Syntakt to MIDI machines to do this?

Maybe I’m getting confused with my old A4 overbridge setup, but I thought I’d see MIDI data being sent too?
