I’ve figured out how to change the sounds/presets on external synths (roland d-o5 and dsi tetra) with the DN… but is there a way to use a DN to change sounds/presets from one DN to another DN. I can’t find anything in the manual and since the workflow of syncing patterns using midi trigs doesn’t work for me, I would just like to use one DN as a external synth but be able to have sounds change along with patterns as controlled by another DN.
I tried to have the octatrack change patches on the DN and use it as a sound module…
but didnt get it to work i dont think its possible if i remember correctly…
I may be wrong hopefully someone else can comment as I would like to know also…
Edit: I think it wasn’t possible to change patches but not patterns for what I wanted to do
As you know, you can send MIDI Program Change messages from the DN to change the pattern on another DN. There is no direct way to change the sounds. So you will have to assign the sounds you want into the second DN’s patterns and change patterns.
