Pardon me if this is already known… I found a workaround recently that I use often.
While in mute mode, if you hit the bank button once, then hit the track button for the track you want to switch to, you will change which sound you are editting. Just let the pattern change indicator timeout without hitting a trigger button. Or you could hit bank again.
This would allow you to be editting for example the filter on t1, then switch to editting the filter on t2, without leaving mute mode.
