Chase Bliss Audio MOOD

Sure, absolutely. When I got it, I can post it. I’ve had one before and I’ve posted a few demos with it and some of that stuff even made it into a release I recently made. Which is why I’m getting one again now.

Now…Blackbox was here and got traded in for a Maschine+. Curious how that will do partner for the Mood.

Man, watching/listening to this reminds me that I haven’t even scratched the surface of using MOOD with my electric violin.

Odd reading all of this. Had the mood and then got a blooper. Ended up selling both eventually.

Missed the Mood much more than I thought and managed to bag another one recently.

Giving it a fairer shot? May do the same some day.

I’m on round two myself now. Getting lots of mileage all the time from it, this time around.

I keep boxing it up, and then finding a reason to use it, and thus pulling it out again. Sounds really nice with the Erica Bassline. I think I’m just gonna have to come to terms with it being a part of my setup in some way.

Somewhat sadly, my honeymoon with the MOOD came to an end a few weeks ago when I sold it and used the funds for a Hologram Microcosm. Zero regrets so far, other than the white MC is no match for the MOOD’s sexy peach color.

I owned a MOOD for nearly two years and despite repeated and seriously dedicated attempts to really understand the thing, I could never achieve anything other than happy accidents (which I would then promptly record). Parts of my workflow require consistency and I grew weary of the constant ambiguity around what the pedal “felt like” doing with what I was feeding it. (Resisting the urge for a lame “mood” pun here.) Ultimately, the Microcosm solved two of my major issues with the MOOD, namely simple MIDI implementation and stereo outs.

I dunno, some gear just “clicks” intuitively with you and some doesn’t, and for me the MOOD fell squarely into the latter category. I’m sure I’ll miss those lush and sometimes bizarre textures at some point, but right now I’m so enamored with the Microcosm that I can’t imagine my world without it.

I really love the sounds he’s getting out of this. It definitely adds to my own GAS, which will be alleviated when I buy one from my friend tomorrow.

Mono pedals are sounding more appealing since I’ll be using them to sample into my (mono input) Polyend Tracker.

Yeah I loved that video…

I’ve been on the lookout for a long time to have a send effect for OT… and this and microcosm has been on the top of the list… this is winning by a small margin due to how flexible it seems… love the Dow sampler reverb mode (thinking it might sound great on percussive material)

I’m more interested in the mood for similar reasons. Compared to the microcosm, it seems like you have to dial in the sound more and aren’t so reliant on predetermined algorithms. I’m still curious about the microcosm though… and so it happens, that when I went to get the mood from my friend today, he let me borrow one his two microcosms! So I’ll be able to compare the two

Ooh awesome… I’d really like some impressions from you seeing as we intend to use them similarly

That’s it. As a prerequisite for people to be friends with me in the future, they have to have two Microcosms.

Will do! I’ll try using them with my octatrack sends as well.

My friend actually has another Mood! Also, 21 omnichords.

Guess that’s why I can’t find any at reasonable prices! Oh the unfairness of it all…

I need new friends. My friends don’t even have 21 beers, let alone Omnichords.

Would love to hear your impression about both pedals m…
