Classic Synthsounds with the DN?

Hey everyone, soon I get my unit and I’m super excited to do some fresh FM sounds.
But how is the Digitone on classic waveforms like saw and square? Is it easy to come to that sounds? If you like share some patches here

Cheers

Are you sure you wanted an FM synth when you appear to want subtractive?

totally! just want to know if you can do both with the DN. Sure it’s still FM but maybe you can do something sawish with it

It can do saw and square stuff using the harm parameter. At the beginning of bank B there are simple saw and simple square presets.

It has more waveforms than just sine. You can sort of have a pwm like effect by modulating the harmonics in the square wave range. You can slightly detune the pitch with a slow lfo to get some analogue wonkiness. Filters sound alright. It also has unison (at the cost of additional voices) and a chorus for lushness. In my opinion it can act as a decent VA but FM is its strong suite
