Connecting OT and AR together via USB

Is it possible to connect these two via a usb cable for the purposes of transferring files from OT to AR?

The reason is because i want to sample into the OT and then transfer the samples to the AR without having to transfer to a computer, then to the AR.

The OT files show up as a folder if connected to computer via usb. If the Rytm is also connected via usb, you should be able to drag files from the OT folder into the Transfer app for Rytm to receive.

Your computer would have to be involved (unless resampling back into mk2), but you probably don’t need to transfer the files onto your computer drive

Not possible directly, the OT only mounts its flash card via USB

The second consideration may have been via MIDI, via SDS tx/rx, but I don’t think OT supports this, might be wrong - if possible there’ll be a topic for sure

Thirdly, they use different formats natively anyway

OT takes you towards stereo and runs 44.1kHz 16 or 24bit

Whereas AR works with mono 48kHz 16bit (although it will handle the bits/stereo well, it won’t convert the sample rate) I’m not sure if C6 did any handy workflow stuff in that regard

Lastly, there’s something handy about having the format required available as a backup on your computer, so fixing its parameters in audacity to be AR specific, is handy to do imho

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah didnt think it would be possible, but had to check.

All about making things as handy as possible
