Is there a way to link other sample parameters to velocity? Playing Digitakt with an external drum pad it receives velocity, which appears to just control the volume the sample plays back at. Real drums have a variety of responses depending on how hard you hit them. It would be cool to be able to affect the playback pitch or LFO or others on Digitakt based on velocity.

Not on the DT itself. But all the sound engine parameters are available as CCs, so a Max or Pd patch could easily map as you desired.

It shouldn’t be too hard to implement a small modulation matrix in the Digitakt’s software. But that might add a layer of complexity that is not in the product’s vision.
I’d like filter keytracking and velocity to cutoff, a modulation matrix would let you make those and other useful routings in a menu.

I’d like to add a +1 for this most basic of features. Coming from Syntakt I was SHOCKED that I couldn’t edit basic sound settings like velocity modulation.
i’m all for it!
(they also could add aftertouch and mod wheel, like on the digitone)
