Controlling and adjusting effect parameters

Hey there Elektronauts!

I have a really stupid question, which may end up as not so stupid at all lol.
Is it possible to control and make different parameter adjustments to every single of the 4 tracks?
I’ve been having a hard time to understand if this is possible, so if I can get a respond, it would be reaaally, really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Yeah just hold midi and change parameters.

A quick trick is to func+yes to save the settings, then midi+parameter to change every track and then func+no to reload to old settings.

I was meaning for example to change the decay of the reverb for track 1, without affecting the decay of the reverb on track 2.
Or am I too stupid right now to grasp what you’re saying
Because whenever I hold on the midi button and start tweaking the parameters usually what I’m hearing is a massive difference in the whole song.

Cheers!

Nope. The fx are master meaning the settings apply to all 4 tracks the same.

So lets say you want to change the Filter Frequency on track 1 but not on track 2, 3 or 4. You just have to press T1 so you are on track 1, then go to the FLTR page and twist the E encoder.

If you want to change the Filter Frequency on every track at the same time. You just have to press and hold MIDI while you play with the E encoder.

And also fx are not master, you can add reverb, delay, filter…etc to every single track.

The delay, reverb and chorus effects are global sends. The amount can be set per track, but parameters are not unique per track.

Thank you for confirming this.

Welp, I hope that in the future, it will be possible for us to do this, since it is a little bit of a restriction.

It’s safe to say with some confidence that this will never change, I’m afraid you will have to work with what you have

I would not expect them to implement unique reverb, delay, chorus for each audio track.
Of course there’s a feature request thread , but I suggest you use it as is , don’t wait for anything.

It’s probably already in the list , but the structure of how they’ve done the master FX is similar to the other devices they’ve made for the last 10 years and none of those have been updated to have unique reverb/delay/chorus or whatever the master fx were (octatrack is a very different set of tech).

If you do start using overbridge when its ready , you could of course do it at that point within ableton/logic etc but its currently in beta with no specific release date for digitone.
You could stream in each track as audio and use plugins daw plugins to alter the sound.

I am for sure going to continue using the Digitone as it is. I’m in love with the sound that it is generating, so this wouldn’t be a reason for me to get away from it lol.

I hope that the Overbridge will be coming soon tho. <3
