Hi there!
I got the Model Samples a few months ago and a MicroKorg shortly afterword. I am new to Hardware Synthesis and MIDI so I am going to need a hand.
So far to get the two to chime I have been running the M:S as the master clock and then running it’s output into the AUDIO IN 2 Port of the MicroKorg. This way I have been utilizing the onboard Arpeggiator of the MK while being able to add additional filtering and modulation to the M:S signal.
Now that’s all fine and dandy but really this has just been a work around because trying to control my MK with my Model Samples as the Master Sequencer has been difficult, heartbreaking and very disappointing.
I have been working on this problem for MONTHS now. I have fiddled with so much shit and read through both manuals trying to make this work. I know for a fact it can as I have seen it on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rRwA01mZg0&t=84s).
So far here’s what I have.
ON MK: Local: OFF - Position: Pre - Midi Channel: 1
ON M:S: I am trying to use T1 as my track for the MK. It is set to Midi Channel 1.
SYNC: Clk In: ON, Clk Out: ON, PCH In: ON, PCH Out: ON
IN CHAIN and OUT CHAIN are Factory Set
PORTS: INP: Midi, OUT: Midi, POL: INV Out/Thru: OUT
FILTER: Rcv Note: ON, Rcv CC: ON, Enc: I+E
Whew. So yeah… I am having a lot of trouble and I figured someone on here probably knows what’s up. I would really appreciate any insight.
One last bit: I did enable MOut on T1. If you ask me to do this you did not read all the way through
ANSWER: Polarity needed to be set to standard
