Creating a sound from step parameters

In all the time I’ve used elektron gear I think this is the first time I wanted to…

Save a sound based on the parameter locks of a specific step.
Eg.
Trk1 sound is a nice bass and I’ve tweaked it a lot on step 1 , but it’s not the track sound.
To see the values I have to hold the step. On each page.

Is there a way to hold a step , then save that as a new sound
This is something that could also happen on all elektron devices but I’ve never done it / read how it might be done … if it can be done.

Or have I got to write down the values and remake it as a track sound / default sound.
Cheers

unfortunately not - appears a lot in feature requests for other boxes

I did try to imagine the crazy button combinations to do it , all of my fingers turned to jelly.

Export sound from step XX , hidden in a sound browser/manager menu (based on currently selected track ) could work interface wise , but i’ll Work around it .

Or take lots if photos.

It takes a couple of minutes, but matching that track’s sound to the trig’s sound page, by page is straightforward at least.

(Save your pattern first!) I hold down the trig, hold three or four of the the numeric values of a few parameters in my head, and then release the trig and enter them quickly to their respective parameters. Hold the trig again to view the next set of parameters, and repeat until every locked parameter is captured. Then save the new sound, and reload the old pattern if you want to restore it.

I wish there were another way too!

Nooooooo. I came here hoping to find a better answer and I’m disappointed. Live recording parameter locks is the best way to come up with cool sounds but then saving them is a pain in the ass. This needs to happen.
