Bit of a weird one. Model Cycles and Nord Drum 3P try to out FM bell each other over a wall of Bitcrusher and feedback. Obvious Aphex inspiration I think.

Oops, it was Patch 102 of the Take 5 but I just realized that the FXs were on (damn me). Hereā€™s a quick improvised recording without the FXs on the Take 5 (same Patch).

Yep. Thatā€™s what caught my attention when I first heard it in demos. I wanted to try one, so, here it is. Thereā€™s not much videos with synths on YT.

@Tchu, thank you so much for saying so. Iā€™ve hesitated putting it out for a while because I was unsure about whether or not I even like the balance of it, or the other half of the dichotomy you mentioned. I like the first half quite a bit, but Iā€™m still unsure TBH. It grew on me over the course of a week or so and I finally decided to put the demo up. Iā€™m always kinda surprised when people like my music but itā€™s incredibly nice to be appreciated posting here, because it really is like exposing your art to a big room full of people you generally like and for the most part, look up to, so it means a lot when even one person shows some love. It means even more when itā€™s coming from one of the folks you look up to.

On that note, hereā€™s another! This is kind of a follow up to No Masters in a way, or for the same project at least. Somber, dark. Minimal. Composed on the Model:Samples with my usual FX routing crazyness (but dialed back a little). The vocal sample is of Taj Majal from the Sounder OMPS from the 1972 film. Thereā€™s another sample in there somewhere too but Iā€™m not telling on myself and I also mangled it fiercely so yeah. Hope Yā€™all Dig It (With overly dramatic Texan accent)
