What time?
Thanks.
What time?
The year of our lord, 1982. Which is also the year I was born.
Edit: Or maybe '78, '79?
Sure why not. Anything but today.
Sounds like an SH101, so cant be before 1982
@Microtribe, always stick with your first answer, and follow your intuition! 1982 is perfect.
Speaking of time capsules, this one takes us back to 2002. This is the instrumental version of a cover of Rilo Kileyās Better Son/Daughter for my collaboration project with my wife, called Bone Marimba. We both sing lead on this one, and the vocal version will be uploaded soon enough as well. We do original music too but we found our voice by doing a bunch of these cover tunes. Iāll prolly post the finished songs in the Share Your Tunes thread but figured the instrumentals would be a better fit here. There are plenty more of them on the way too. If you are interested in any of the previously posted instrumental covers for Bone Marimba, you can find four more pieces on my SoundCloud. Thereās a Nirvana cover (Something In The Way), a Chris Isaak cover (Wicked Game) and a Misfits cover (20 Eyes) which also has a reprise. All of these covers are re-imagined primarily on the Model Cycles with a little help from Model Samples and some FX boxes (Zoia, DL4MK2, Krush). Itās kinda long but it feels shorter with vocals on it, plus I love long intros. If you know the song, feel free to do Karaoke to it. Cheers.
Made a quick ableton loop to play bass over. I went really mellow cus Iām trying to work on my fingerstyle, itās very fun but I grew up playing with a pick so I canāt keep up yet. I however donāt have an audio interface right now, and the little mic in phone adapter thing I bought seems to only want to record things uselessly distorted, so there isnāt actually any bass on this track.
The coloured bar things remind me of old ceefax graphics.
Making sketches for a game I am workingā¦ Getting there. Heavy lifting from A4 and then some drum samples.
some music I MADEā¦
I, me, made this with no gearā¦just text. an ode to the AI artists.
a little follow up infoā¦
no gear [no AI either . im done with that AI business]
edited: for clarity. I felt I used poor grammar
Little Drambo sketch I did on the train.
Starts and end abruptly, and only a couple bars.
Discovered I have Covid yesterday. Just thinking about doing something is already tiring.
Managed do to a short ST session thoughā¦(but it almost killed me )
4track/15step pattern
Some synthesizer sounds from the 707 + Micron
i lost 2 months of patterns after a beta testing mishap.
but that meant a reset to factory and rom 07 classics jam.
Wanted to end my reliance on the OP-Z for sequencing dutiesā¦ ever since I got the OP-Z (4 years ago?) the Elektron sequencers kind of felt dull in comparison. But there is a great lot to say about parameter locks even on the old Monomachine. So Iāve started to dig in to them once moreā¦
Started out by grabbing some loops I had recorded into OT from OP-1 a cpl of months ago, wrong Bpm, but that makes it a lot more fun to experience with. I then added Perfourmer and MnM and also sampled myself singingā¦ turned out to be a full song which was nice and also a rare 4 to the floor from myselfā¦ it was a lot of fun!
Ooh Iāve also started to only have one active recorded on OT so that I can make longer loops and just sample everything via that recorder, itās good that I can use that recorded for other tracks as well since it really simplifies the processā¦
Cheers
