I was experimenting using T4 of my A4 to only drive my Novation Peak (giving me 4 note poly sequencing), then using the 4 voices of the A4 across T1-T3.
It works great for a simple 2 unit setup, and the Peak’s sound works great against the A4’s.
The only frustration is the lack of real midi control you get, compared to the DN or DT’s handling of ext midi.
Does anyone else do this?
Why does the A4 not have midi tracks like the DN? Is this possible as a future fw update?
MIDI sequencing of external synths was only added pretty recently via a firmware update. I don’t think we’re likely to get anything as extensive as that found in DT/DN in the A4. The A4 is excellent for CV/Gate sequencing though!
