I lived in Park Slope for a year but didn’t get there, and then we were in Bed-Stuy under COVID, or I would have. I spent a few days in Goa forty years ago and the food was phenomenal. Now that I am in Lisbon, there are a few Goan places I hope to try, but mostly I have to make my own.

The food was pretty good if I remember… one things for sure I passed on using the warm damp towel after the meal…

I didn’t know you are in Lisbon now. Lucky you. Probably the last thing you need but I got this really well done Portuguese cookbook for my birthday. Not generally into cookbooks especially modern ones which are usually more about showing off someone’s art direction but this thing is amazing, more like a compendium and most the dishes I never heard of.
