Digitakt Length per Track chromatic recording

Hello, I’m trying to record chromatically, on a track that is longer than the other tracks. (64 steps vs 16)

When I go into Grid Rec mode and play my melody, the first dot above the Page button blinks, but doesn’t progress to the 4 dots, and therefore doesn’t record the whole melody…

Any idea why?

Have you set the pattern length to 64?

Ooooh! Nope!
So the pattern length has to be at least the same length as the longest track length?
