Not sure I understand.
I meant adding manual slice markers like for each chord progression, that’s not on the grid, so I can play the slices manually
Hmm yes indeed that would be massive.
What about an arpeggiator upgrade to make it as versatile as the MnM arpeggiator? Seems like the DN is the perfect box for that one specific feature.
Damn. I’ve been really trying to resist buying a Digitakt - holding out for a second revision, or a new flagship sampler that replaces the Octatrack.
But this update might be the tipping point, if I can get one at the old price.
it slices to grid(s) only
I see. Good enough though. Missed opportunity if you ask me
Holy shit. DT wasn’t on my radar because it had no slicing but this update is incredible. I don’t have room for another device though, which reduces the temptation some.
…wow…how unexpected.
…wow…how tempting to get one again.
…wow…ot users won’t be happy.
but mono strikes back to hit hard.
Wish I saw this before leaving the house!
Yeah slices only to grid but they make it easier to sample an exact grid now so you can make stuff into grids for it quite easily
@elektron for real? Another DT update and I still can’t just scrub samples with any kind of accuracy on my Rytm. Seems like you have abandoned Rytm. And ported slicing over to DT and not Rytm? Doo-doo business right there. As a company, as cool as your sequencer is, I am losing faith in your methods. Fix the Rytms sample scrubbing sensitivity please, this is a bug for a sampler and should be addressed
Added the functionality to record loops based on the current BPM when sampling or re-sampling.
This is something else. This is useful when I sample my guitar, if I want a perfect loop. This was missing also. Nice touch.
I think it’s meant mainly for playing beat slices. Adding a slice editor would be a big ask.
Nah, no worries there trust me. But I have both (and it is a very nice upd)
Blasphemy…
ctrl-all + new sample machines
I feel like there is a potential middle ground without necessarily needing the old paradigm of kits. The big issue seems to be whether a pattern has it’s own sounds or inherits it’s sounds from somewhere else. I wish there was just a setting for each pattern where you could make it reset it’s sounds when the pattern starts(like it currently is) or inherits it’s sounds from the previous pattern. I think this could give a lot of the functionality of kits without having to introduce the headaches that could be caused by them in the past “I had a pattern and then I changed stuff on a different pattern and now my old pattern is ruined”
Locking the sound of specific tracks project-wide would be enough for me.
nice update I sold mine few years back.now I can go back to the digitakt
very cool big ups, this will make a lot of DT owners very happy!
on my end, the only exciting part is SRR. I’ve already presliced sample chains in my DT, but due to LEN = 120, I chose slices of 6. So either I need to go back and rexport 8 sound sample chains, which will destroy all my patterns, or just not use this feature.
I anyway don’t work with longer samples that aren’t chains (due to using DT as just a drum machine).
So, great for some, doesn’t do much for me, but thats OK! Nice work elektron.
Now combine all the recent Syntakt/DT/DN updates and add all these features to your, ekhmm, flagship product - Analog Rytm. Please
