I hit BUY on that motherfucker instant :)) I sold my DT a while ago and this was the main reason. No slicing. 
Now, quick question: Slice works just in grid mode, or you can manually add slices?
Amazing! This and the last 2-3 firmware updates for Digitakt just pushed the possibilities this machine over the boarder over and over!!!
I was considering since ages to maybe get also an octatrack at some point, but after this 1.50, I can live only with the Digitakt and trash the rest my gears!

This got tested during the beta and seems fine… If you have important projects then it is anyway a good idea to backup them regularly.

Yeah, I think at one point, I heard an Elektron representative say that kits would add a layer of complexity that’s not in line with the square box line-up approach.
But after all these updates, I think that argument is a bit stale. There’s so much going on here now, the absence of kits is what adds unwanted complexity, not the other way around.

It’s a grid but the new exact bar resample mode makes it pretty easy to build out custom slice arrangements on device
It’s unbelievable how much value @Elektron continues to add to their existing products. I bought the DT in 2018, and felt then that the features it had then (before OB was even available) were worth every penny. Then along came track scaling, second filter, second LFO, updated UI/UX, song mode…now this?
So many thanks to the product and dev teams, and for the company’s commitment to its customers.

Elektron is currently testing the new “Web Server”-machine for the Digitakt, but as it is monophonic, it can only handle 8 users at a time!

Digitakt was my first Elektron device (which got me pretty hooked to the ecosystem) and I recently bought an OT, mostly because of Slicing and the Crossfader/Scenes. Been playing with OT for the past 2 weeks and just today I sort of felt like “i miss DT”, then I saw the update! I think I’ll happily go back to my DT (with the nice internal battery mod) tonight and use OT as a performance mixer from now on! 
Wow wow wow! My DT has been unused in a little while as I have been focusing on Bitwig, but it’s definitely getting a dusting off again now. I had been hoping for sample rate reduction, but slicing and warping, too! Really nice work @Elektron
