Digitone crackling as USB interface for IPad

Hi,
When using Tardigrain on an IPad with Digitone as an audio interface, I hear crackling pretty much all of the time (while the app on an IPad alone works just fine). I guess it‘s the sample rate, but cannot find any option to adjust it. Anyone any idea how to solve this?

Have you tried hosting it in AUM?
