I’m using OB in standalone mode (only to record the stereo out via USB) but perhaps it is the problem. It happened today again. The thing is I don’t hear it at first, it doesn’t seem to go OFF right away. I’ll try without being plugged to my computer and see if it still happens.
Major lag - PITA
I do experience an inconsistency with pattern clear. Whenever I do…
Pattern Menu -> Clear -> Whole Pattern
… it sometimes does clear the sequence, but it doesn’t clear track sounds, page settings and tempo/bpm.
While trying to just reproduce it, tempo settings plus page settings can be confirmed to not clear. The rest I’m not safely reproducing now, but I’m sure it didn’t work as expected earlier.
Can anyone possibly try and confirm this before I go and report to Elektron, please?
Note: I’m still on 1.32A.
Update to 1.4, you won’t regret it.
Actually, I would. I am using Fill in latch mode extensively.
Ah the one flaw
Couldn’t see this reported anywhere but yes Fill in latch mode and cue FILL mode no longer works in 1.40.
It’s been reported, i believe and they have acknowledged (unless that’s a separate bug.)
Just updated to 1.40. Anyone else ran into this bug: On 2 separate occasions now, step recording mode stopped automatically advancing the sequencer both on the internal keyboard and on external midi on auto channel. In both standard mode and jump mode. Rebooting the digitone fixed the problem in both cases.
Also: Im not sure if this is the intended behavior nor if it was already this way before 1.40, but if you copy a page while in step recording mode it both copies the page and exits recording mode all together, which seems like a bug to me. Its also inconsistent with the behavior in the other two recording modes. In grid recording mode it stays in grid recording mode and in live recording mode it reverts back to grid recording mode (which also seems weird to me, not that I would ever use copy page while in live recording mode).
This concerns OS 1.40 (I couldn’t find a separate bug thread for this, should the mods create one?):
Direct pattern transpose: The pattern transpose visual is lagging. It does seem to transpose immediately when you release the PTN button, but since visual feedback is missing it’s difficult to see how many semitones you’ve entered before releasing.
Yeah, was just about to post the same thing. If you press up/down fast enough it will go from lagging to hanging (including completely disappearing from screen since it blinks ) Same goes for the quick track transpose btw.
I also noticed that both the track and pattern quick transpose ui-elements are always completely hidden while in song mode. Which should really be addressed one way or another. Especially since, unlike the track transpose which can also be found on the Notes page, the pattern quick transpose can only be found under the song progress bar now. (at least I’m not aware of any other location in the ui where it can be found)
i reported transpose ui bug too.
it was passed onto elektron dev team
hope we can report as many bugs as possible in the coming months before bugfix update is out.
keyboard setting: with keyboard fold on, if you hold a note thats duplicated, and play its copy in the other octave, you can build up a list of same notes, where it shows which keys are pressed.
doesnt seem to break anything but its there.
As soon as i connect through overbridge or automate someething through midi my digi keys becomes a laggy mess, id sell it if i didnt like it so much
Have you contacted Elektron support?
Reporting bugs contributes to making the gear more solid.
yep!
Appears to be a known issue, was told there should hopefully be a fix soon
My Digitone (in 1.32A ver.) is laggy, when the USB mode is on “Overbridge”. No matter if i use it with overbridge or not, and it sotp being laggy when I change the usb mode. So, maybe it’s not a bug from the 1.40.
My two cents.
1.40, another quirk of UI in scale menu:
indocators that note is pressed behave differently depending if they are white keys or black keys, also if keyboard fold is active or not.
if keyboard fold is off:
- indicators on black keys will dissapear as soon as there is no space for them in the list on the left side of the screen. (expected)
- while white keys have no such limit and can display as many press dots as possible.
(clash, also preferred)
if keyboard fold is on:
- all keys behave like black keys, and their press indicators get removed if there is no space in the list.
purely cosmetic, but it would be nice to have a uniform behaviour
