New jam, had lots of fun making this! DN and DT only, recorded in one take
all of the melodic stuff on this came from Digitone:
Such a fun machine!
This is a DN + Dreadbox Typhoon Jam, no edits, recorded into a old Zoom.
(;
Cheers!
An ambient piece, cause we need more calm in this crazy world.
Digitone. What else ?
(Not mine)
“external sequenced with random notes on a fixed scale and internal randomized modulation”
Videos like these are a reminder that the DN is all you need. Beautiful!
I have mostly been lurking in here to steal all your tips and tricks Usually I’m making techno, but this week I was bed-ridden with a cold, but luckily the Digitone is very bed-friendly. This was one of the tracks (very not-techno) that came out of it:
I only have the digitone for a week, I’ve never had any hardware synth / sequencer, always been “in the box” guy from the early days of impulse tracker / fast tracker, this thing is all I’ve ever dream about… it’s sooo goood and I can literally focus on making a track instead of searching and trying endless plugins and clicking everywhere… the feeling is insane!!! I still totally suck but I feel that I’m actually connecting with the process and the music I’ve always wanted to do is just presenting itself to me… magic!
like I said, totally noob and have lots and lots to learn but here’s one my jams with 2 modified presets and 2 sounds from scratch, 1 pattern (I truly need to learn how to mix in / out sounds and expand to more patterns):
( ´ ω ` )ノ゙ Colossus Pace (Digitone, Peak)
Hi!
I updated the Peak and paired it with the Digitone in a little jam.
As I’ve been playing Elden Ring lately, I wanted to create a soundscape to celebrate those giant bosses and their slow but powerful pace.
The Digitone is sequencing the Peak, as well as playing drums, percs, pads and bass.
I hope you’ll like it!
Very nice, love the sounds!
Cheers!
Similar, from someone else
“I created this track with conditional triggers to randomly trigger notes and LFOs to modulate a variety of parameters across Digtone’s four tracks. Each time I start the sequence a unique arrangement is produced.”
A few experimental ambient pieces which I made with Digitone only, but the synth was sequenced by generative Max patch
Recorded performance of using my DT and DN in my ongoing quest to try and understand how to make house style music - dark organ sounds, arps, tight bass sounds, I love the DN! Drum n bits of ear candy for the DT.
I fucking love the Digitone… it’s insane… I just need to get better with it
I suppose getting a drum machine is also inevitable…
Just jamming and exploring…
Very nice sounds, for house it feels like a little more shuffle/swing or movement in the drums might help.
Thanks for feedback, making drums isn’t my strong suit as yet, just doesn’t come as naturally or as enjoyable to me as making melodies. Need to learn more about how to create them - I’m sorta operating blind a bit, enjoying getting there though! Thanks again.
