I’ve been been back in Digitone land experimenting and designing a bunch of new patches.
Here’s one of the compositions from my last session.

“The Digitone patterns were sequenced into songs with an Elektron Analog Four.”

what does that mean ? You use the analog four song mode and sequence the DN from the A4 ? or you write everything in the DT and then arrange/ use the A4 song mode ?
As an exemple did you send Mutes from the A4 ?

No mutes used on the A4. Wrote everything on the DN, and used song mode on the A4 for playback. Hope that explains it all!

I made another ambient piece with the Digitone, this time I processed it with the mtl.asm count to 5 delay/looper pedal. Looped ARP, and played a few patches live plus one sequence.

It does ! Perfectly perfect

Wow, this sounds so good. You can hear the typical DN timbres, but with the added DT drums and samples it comes loose of this “typical Syntakt” or “typical Digitone” vibe. Next level!

And the amount of variation, fx, pluck sounds, little details etc. is amazing

Thank you!

That song is just some pattern chaining on each machine.

I feel it could have been better if I had access to a song mode on the Digis. Then you can add specific breakdowns and buildups.

But I guess that’s what the Analogs are for?

I made a track with a DN Keys only. All sounds, including the drums and the guitar, came from the DNK.
I only used the built-in effects. (Multi Recorded with Logic Pro X)
Audio output was used, not USB.

Hi!

Here’s a track I made with the DT, DN and M8. It is inspired by a great book by Edgar Mittelholzer called ‘Eltonsbrody’.
I previously sampled my Telecaster through the Chase Bliss Thermae directly into the Digitakt, as well as various 0-Coast percs that I scrambled with the DT.
I recorded my voice through a Vocoder and sampled it into the M8.

The M8 and DT/DN combo have their clock synced, and I’m launching individual patterns on the fly on the M8: vocals, a triangle lead, a gritty bass, and some hats.

Lyrics and more info in the video description.

I thought I’d share it here as even if it’s not strictly DN+DT, Elektronauts are interested in the M8 from what I could gather here and there on the forum

I hope you’ll enjoy it!

I decided to give the Digitone a try, and it just arrived and this is my very first try :stuck_out_tongue:

I gotta say, I don’t remember the last time I laughed so much [at the evil noises coming out of it] when working on a synth. Second try!

(Hihat is one of the presets.)
