Digitone feature requests!

I just found out that Digitone can send out 8 x CC Midi Control values. I found them useful to control external gear. Is there a chance of having more banks by using 2 or more pages?

A plockable arp would be so much fun. Love doing this in Ableton. Would love a retrigger too, for when trying to wangle this in the arp for one-offs would be too much hassle.

In case i missed it. Our DT has no hold/latch for ARP function?

LFO to select a different sound from the sound pool (similar to the LFO to sample slot on the Digitakt)

The inputs L and R should totally be on this page too

arp steps randomizer could be very cool
arp rate p-lockable / lfoable also could be very cool

Should allow to record ARP played into steps.

Hard-coded Midi loopback feature

Really cool idea but I wonder how the processor would cope with doing that at the 2k rate

Being in stock for the keys would be a great feature

Iā€™m not in the US sadly! There are some on Thomann but I refuse to pay more than the RRP on the Elektron site

I donā€™t understand why this isnā€™t built in. when I input a scale, I should never be able to select incorrect notes. no matter the input method. Force my arps into scale. force the trig menu into scale. why is this even a question? if youre good enough to know when to play notes out of scale, youre good enough to not want the scale or chord mode on.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the Digitone clearly needs to put settings for L/R inputs on the same page. Most people will use the inputs with stereo sources and it really discourages me to tweak effects on external inputs. If it is not possible for some reason there could be a setting to group L/R inputs, so that values for volume or effects levels would then always be applied to L and R inputs at the same time.

a few updates ago this feature was implemented, i think in 1.20?
you can merge L and R input pages into one stereo source.

(on the bottom left of the screen you will see a DUAL toggle, set it to off with LEVEL/DATA encoder to merge inputs into stereo controls)

Oh thatā€™s great, havenā€™t noticed! Thank you so much! I was also a bit confused as I thought that LFO pages on DN had been adjusted to DT a while ago to display all values on the same page. Havenā€™t used DN inputs since though, so I thought inputs were not part of this but only LFOs. I will now check this out.

Separate envelopes for B1 and B2. They will never do this but it does make it feel more like a 3.5 operator FM synth and would be nice to use some of the patches from my 4 op synths

PS any nice workarounds for this?

really though each of the four operators should have its own dedicated ASDR envelope (was always the case with programming Yamaha 4-Op synths back in the day)

Are the envelopes on the classic Yamaha FM synths doing the same thing as on the Digitone, which to me seems to enveloping the frequency modulation? What would an envelope on a carrier do - if has its own envelope? I presume the Yamaha FM synths also had amp envelopes? Iā€™m not confident I have any of the this right, so feel free to correct me.

rather than reducing operator modulation to the simple X-Y division, with two levels and ASDR envelopes, Yamahaā€™s 4-Op FM synths had independent levels and envelopes (plus pitch!) for each operator. i would prefer having two pages on the Syn 2 function of Digitone with adjustable levels/envelopes for each operator instead of just X-Y crossfading
