If you could jump to the beginning of a sound bank (Aā€“H) just by pressing or turning one of the currently unused data entry knobs (Aā€“H) would be so handy. Then you wouldnā€™t have to turn the Level/Data so much. Open the sound browser, press data knob E for example, sound bank E is selected ā€¦

Also, how to determine the current project without menu diving? Why not showing it as long you holding the [Global settings] key?!

Do you think DN will have some other synthesis models in the future? It is not that Iā€™m not happy with it as it is, but I think it is possible with this hardware and when itā€™s possible the itā€™s tempting as hell.

Well, technically you have FM with waveform selection(which is basically additive synthesis) in a subtractive structure.
So, weā€™re spoiled already

Yep, thatā€™s correct. And there is also subtractive with these lovely filters. This little dwarf is really a brick of wonders. Butā€¦

But I suspect Elektron didnā€™t say last word on its synthesis yet.

We can always dreamā€¦
I would love to see an extra page where we can customize the waveform a bit more, like Zeta+ had, or completely additive for ultimate control.

Whatever they do, I think this is already the best sounding digital synth ever made.

I donā€™t know whether is the best sounding digital ever made, but it does sound lovely. Usually very cold, but can go warm either. Also one can create good sounding drums. Lately I made rumbling kick, that made my Rytm ashamed, at least for a moment.

And this lovely form factor. It really does have perfect size but should be used with external keyboard, as itā€™s perfect for thrilling chords ans rich soundspcapes.

Already exists. In the sound browser, hold BANK and select which bank you want do jump to.

Double tap PATTERN button = stay in Pattern Select MODE :pray:t2:

Iā€™d love a button or modifier function that applies a random +- 5% (or some other user-definable value) to any given parameter. Sort of like a quick cheap LFO, and sort of like the recent ā€˜randomise allā€™ function on the octa except that it would be doing it continually.

My wish list after a month playing with the DT:

  • a band pass filter, and more organic filter models

  • option to move the overdrive block after the filter in the audio path

  • multiple modulation destinations for LFOs (like for velocity/mod)

  • a mode to save pattern chains as scenes

  • use all keys when a note scale is selected, so we can cover 2 octaves when playing on the DT

  • a custom macro page for better live controls

  • more LFOs?

Retrig / p-locked Arpeggiator would bring it up a notch!

whatā€™s the chances of opening up the LFO destinations to every existing parameter? I went to put LFO on portamento time and itā€™s not there. I like to put LFOs on stuff like portamento time and trig length and delay time for generative stuff.

If I could use the internal LFOs to modulate delay time, I would be very happy.
I live in hope that a broader range of LFO destinations might be added, but Iā€™m not expecting it to happen.

Yea sadly the lfo is limited to the track so I canā€™t see it going in FX. But if you could LFO target the trig page would be cool. LFO on track chance, lfo on velocity then set some velocity modulation = 1 LFO could apply to 4 targets.

Being able to assign both inputs to mono would be really useful, especially for live performances - two separate instruments (e.g Digitakt and another synth) could be fed in as mono, synced or sequenced. This would eliminate the need for mixer and keep a setup small and simple. Not sure if the hardware allows this but it would be great.

You can do this already?? Just donā€™t pan inputs?
Or do you mean so you have seperate sends on each one?
