Digitone lack of individual outputs an impediment?

I’ve not yet had the pleasure of trying the Digitone myself. My main question about the machine is whether or not you feel that it is an impediment worth noting that it lacks individual outputs for each of the four tracks?

Just to add my personal context: I’ve been on the lookout for buying my first synth, and just recently got interested in Elektron’s products – mainly looking at Analog Keys and Analog Four, but Digitone captured my attention also. The first synth I get is supposed to be a centrepiece for home production, which will always be done with a DAW. As such, while sequencing is a great creative tool, I am probably less in need of a groove box with combined tracking, but would primarily be interested in the sound qualities of the FM synthesis and effects. With that said, because FM synthesis can produce a range of sounds, and because sequencing is at the heart of Elektron’s products, it’s not unlikely that I would create tracks in parallel on it – but getting them out separately for further processing in a DAW would preferably be as flexible as possible.

The Digitone was recently on sale at a very good price level below the average, but I still hesitated getting it due to being unfamiliar with the Elektron workflow and the practicality of having a combined output. Thought I’d remedy that by asking for opinions here.

I read that Overbridge is coming to the Digitone. Would it perhaps provide “individual outs” via USB?

Im in the closed beta for Overbridge, you’ll be able to output each track individually, along with two seperate stereo outs for the send effects and LR input respectively. Currently the plugin is only in beta for the digitakt, but it also allows perfect sync with DAW transport. I highly recommend the DN if you find a good deal. I discover new sonic possiblities everytime i use it, just very, very rewarding synthesis, but if you need Overbridge for your setup id hold off. Still no eta on public release.
