Digitone midi notes filter issue

Hi All - Any help with this issue (maybe bug?) is appreciated.

Background - I have…

  • Connected my Digitone to my MPC Live via USB (happens via din midi as well)
  • When sending midi notes from MPC to Digitone
  • The FLTR page sets the filter type to ‘Off’
  • I try to edit it back to LP2/LP4 etc. - but it forces itself back to ‘Off’
  • Only when I pull the USB lead out can I edit the filter

When using midi clock and the Digitone sequencer it is fine - and all other parameters are fine as well?

But when I try to adjust the filter type when receiving midi notes it defaults back to ‘Off’

I’ve reinstalled the OS a couple fo time but the same behaviour… and used various different Digitone patterns

Any advice or options to test much appreciated

Peace

sounds like you are always receiving or triggering a MIDI message when you vary that parameter - it’s highly likely to be something beyond the DN, depends what is running as a host for the usb midi

you don’t need to transmit parameters from teh DN if you don’t want (or receive them for that matter)

check teh manual for DN to see what the CC or NRPN is for filter type and see which other device may be returning that signal to value zero

if you’re transmitting a CC of value 2,3 etc , it’s possible the receiving device will interpret this as a toggle, so if it’s less than 64 it may echo out 0 - sounds like a conflict of settings

you’d need to get on top of all your midi plumbing to avoid such issues
