Digitone Midi Thru - Unable to Control Synths

Hi Folks,

I’m running a digitakt and digitone combo and its all sync’d nicely. Weirdly i can send notes from my digitakt midi channels to my external synthesizers but I cant do it on the digitone?

I’m running this:

Digitakt Midi Out > Digitone Midi In > Digitone Midi Thru > Midi Solutions T8 In > Midi Solutions T8 outputs to my external synths.

When i create a midi channel on my digitakt i can play the notes on my external gear however when i create one on my digitone i get nothing. Ideally i’d prefer to control my synths with the digitone as the sequencer is better set for that.

Any help would be appreciated :slight_smile:

the digitone sequencing info will only appear at its Out Port - The Thru only echoes the Data arriving at the respective In Port

Put your DN first and swap with DT or invest in a merge to combine Out and Thru or change the routing plan

thanks for the quick response avantronica, i thought that might be the case, to test i swapped the digitone midi thru to the digitone midi out and i still didnt get anything on my synths?

silly question but am i still able to sync the digitakt - most videos recommended the digitakt first into the digitone and its audio outputs into the digitone.
