Digitone/Octatrack MIDI sync to start playback

I am running a pretty basic setup of Octatrack/Digitone plus a few other synths here and there, with the Octatrack as the brain and master. I can get the Digitone’s tempo to sync with that of the Octatrack, but I’d like my Digitone sequences to automatically start when I hit play on the Octatrack, and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it.

I know I can just sequence the digitone from the octatrack, but i’d rather do it my way.

It’s your transport settings. Set your OT to send Transport, and DN to receive. If you want the pattern changes to sync too, set your ch auto channels to the same on each machine, and again select send on the OT and receive on the Digi.
