I always work with a samplerate of 44,1khz.
I noticed in Audio MIDI setup the Digitone samplerate format is greyed out and fixed at 48khz.
I’m using the Digitone with overbridge merged in an aggregated device with an Apogee as the master clock fixed at 44,1khz. In Logic the project is set to 44,1khz.
How come this is working as the Digitone internally seems to be fixed at 48khz?
This is because an aggregate device uses variable rate resampling to combine multiple devices. The signal from the Digitone is always resampled in your example.
The same technique is used when running Overbridge as a plugin.
