Hi guys, this is my first post here. I am considering buying a Digitone but first I would like to know if is possible to use parameter locks on individual tracks as we do on A4, OT, MM, etc, or if parameter locks affect to the whole tracks (I don’t own a Digitakt, put I think this is how it works on Digitakt or am I wrong?). Thank you.
Both, Parameter Locks always work on individual Steps, or on all tracks If you want. The Ctrl All Feature is only implemented on Machinedrum and Digitakt/Digitone. Analog Four has the Performance Parameter for something alike, which can Not be sequenced.
thx pulsn for the answer; I know is possible to lock parameters on individual steps, but concretely on Digitone, may I lock paramenters, for instance, on the sound engine -as we do on the MM-? I mean, different parameters for each individual Track?
Not sure If i understand your question properly. Tracks are independent. See Page 27 in the manual about the Sequencer.
Yeah- I don’t understand either- every element of sound design is being advertised to be able to be P-Locked
Track Independently
Track independently?
Yeah that what you wrote is Independent for any track in the DN
thanks guys for the replies; so it seems is possible to lock different paramenters for each track including those concerning sound engine. Similar to MM.
I still dont understand what you mean with those “concerning sound engine”.
On the you can load machines. On the newer Elektrons since the A4 and in the Digitakt/Tone there is always only one Synth machine active. Always. And of course each Parameter can be locked. That of course including Synth and FX Parameter.
super keen to hear what cool sounds and sequences get made with the Digitone parameter locks
With ´sound engine`I meant parameters of pages SYN1 and SYN2. I will try to be clearer: DT has eight tracks, so, lets say I choose eight different presets on each track. Then I sequence those preset sounds and then I sequence parameters of SYN1 and SYN2, so different values and/or different parameters on EACH track. Then I can have a complex and organic sequenced sound. It was this what I wanted to know. I guess this is possible, right?. Thank you!.
DN has 4 tracks, 8 voices that are shared between the tracks either dynamically or by specifically allocating a number of voices to each track.
Yes, it is possible to sequence multiple unique parameters on each track, independently.
Thank you natrixgli. 4 tracks, not eight, okay. DN, not DT (Digitakt, yes, sorry). Great then. I will go eventually for it, Despite the demos on YouTube are still pretty simple, this machine smells like a great tool for organic and complex sounds using parameter locks individually on each track.
