Hello! I’m using a Digitone with Overbridge and Ableton Live 10. I can send MIDI to DN (ie I can hear them), but the notes don’t record when I turn live recording on (I am a longtime Elektron user and know how to turn on live recording). I ran into this problem with my A4 and was able to solve it by sending the notes from another MIDI track (not the MIDI track containing the Overbridge plugin). This does not seem to work with the DN and Overbridge 2.0. I verified that I can record notes sent via MIDI cable - problem only occurs when I use USB. My MIDI signal path is MIDI channel in Ableton – 1-Digitone – 1-Digitone. Any MIDI channel settings/other settings I should check? Thanks (love all other aspects of DN, btw).
I believe you have to use the send midi to the auto channel on the DN (channel 10 by default) in order to record notes from external sources.
Solved! Had the wrong thing selected in MIDI channel
