Hi. I’m using a Behringer BCR2000 controller to control the Digitakt but I can’t get parameter feedback when I change patterns or a parameter in the Digitakt. Is this machine capable? If not, is this function intended for a new firmware update? THX!
You can configure the encoders on the Digitakt to send CCs or NRPNs when you change parameters manually.
There are quite a few config parameters in the port config menu involved like:
OUTPUT CH selects whether the knobs will send data on the auto channel or the track channel.
PARAM OUTPUT selects what type of MIDI messages the DATA ENTRY knobs will send.
ENCODER DEST controls whether the DATA ENTRY and LEVEL/DATA knobs sends MIDI data or not.
BUT: When the Digitakt changes to a new pattern and some internal parameters gets modified, there is no way to request the new values or get them sent out automatically.
The only Elektron device which supports a CC parameters request is the Octatrack (in response it will send all its CC values).
So are you saying that when I change a parameter from the Digitakt in a pattern I should see these changes reflected in the controller until I change the pattern?
