plus: arpeggios are called stranger things now
Definitely not jealous
You should be more dis-Crete with your joke attempts.
Iāve lost count of the youtube comments I have seen that stated a synth is āBOC in a boxā, because the reviewer did a little pitch modulation during their review.
jealousy is for the children (just like Wu Tang)
Unfortunately I donāt have a strong enough power bank to serenade it yet, but hereās the Typhon with a cactus earlier.
The value you get for your money here is crazy.
That looks like an aloe plant of some sort. I donāt usually think of those as cacti, but definitely in the succulent world. These photos are literally of the Typhon in the wild!
Youāre quite right, of course. I donāt actually have any cacti handy, but I can take the Typhon to some growing wild not too far away at some point.
my order just got a tracking number
ditto
Still available anywhere? Any leads appreciated
Has the first batch from Thomann already gone out? Should I stop checking for B-stock every 5 minutes
There will be used ones here on the boards in about a week Iām guessingā¦
Would be cool if someone did a comparison between the Typhon + Keystep and a Korg Monologue paired with an NTS-1. Iām thinking that the Korg combo offers more for less money, although the Typhon is pretty neat. Keystep included with the Typhon for parity.
Mine arrived on Monday but Iām exercising some delayed gratification and not unboxing until my birthday in a couple of weeks. By the sounds of Nick Battās review, I wonāt be disappointed. Should make a great companion for the DT.
Itād cost more
Need more plugs
Be more annoying
Not have so much midi cc control on synth / fx
But you would have a keyboard.
A Typhon Keys with CV i/o would be niceā¦
Would it cost more? I see people selling the Monologue for less than $200 USD and the NTS-1 is only $100 new, and I saw one on the board here a few days ago for $80. I think you could have the entire package for $100 less than the Typhon actually, and if you include a Keystep for parity, over $200 less than the Typhon. As for being more annoying, I think the Typhon looks pretty hideous to edit and the Monologue is knob per function, but the NTS-1 is kind of annoying to edit, so maybe they are even.
It definitely needs more plugs though, which is pretty annoying! Anyway, just my thoughts. They seem like a good comparison since the Monologue/NTS combo turns into a three oscillator synth with digital effects, and Sinevibes has made many effects which can be loaded onto the NTS-1.
