Electric knowhow needed : ) Psu splitter

i have purchased a 12v 8A power supply unit and would like to use it to power 3 devices through a dc splitter i purchased on amazon: 1 analog rytm mk2, 1 analog four mk2 and 1 microfreak. The microfreak ALWAYS works, but the electrons work 1 time out of 5 . Often they get no power at all, often they don’t boot, sometimes they freeze. Microfreak: alexa perfect.
Is it possible that the splitter cannot handle the 8A (or the 2 needed by the elektrons?) ? I can’t think of anything else… all the devices are 12 volt and centre positive and should actually draw the amount of current they need from the 8A, shouldn’t they? The plug type is also correct (logically, otherwise the electrons would NEVER work).
Ideas? thnx!

I like these APC surge suppressors, or Anker.

I would not monkey around with random third party DC power distribution for sensitive and expensive electronics. You can get very clean DC power supplies, and you can engineer the power distribution so that everyone plays nicely together, but that takes research and work. Much easier to just use the factory power brick and a quality surge suppressor.

If your Elektrons don’t turn on, that likely means that the power isn’t arriving at or staying within the limits that the device expects. The most likely outcome of this project is an expensive service appointment with Elektron.

Is the splitter definitely the right size?

Can’t remember whats on elektrons but you get different sized centre pins on these types of plugs.

If wrong size they cant make a connection

Some devices don’t like being daisy chained - I think it’s a grounding thing.

Some pedals will be noisy, especially.

Maybe it causes fluctuations that they don’t like or similar?

Also 8A is a lot to put through one of those small gauge cables - but those devices don’t pull that so it should be fine.

yes, it‘s the right one !

You could measure the voltage on one end of the splitter with a multimeter to make sure power coming out supply is staying stable(12V) when using elektrons.
