Elektron Overbridge 1.10 Review

at work, can’t watch

What LFO upgrades are there for the Rytm? Is it still just one LFO per voice? Are they at least routable to different voices now?

that won’t happen
the new addition is tempo-disconnected rates

Ah this is great news ! Using the LFO anaylizing the OSC frequency is realy smart, in that way we also get filter FM (and other weird stuff^^), wich i love.
Only downside is that we ve to sacrifice at least one of the LFOs for this FM stuff.

Thought the same

Automatable track mutes in overbridge, hmmm would this mean we will be able to parameter lock the mutes per pattern? this would be extremely handy for setting up livesets

Can anyone from elektron enlighten us on this point?

I think that’s exactly what he’s doing in the video

God damn that filter FM sounds amazing. And trig conditions!! Those 16 will go a whole lot further now.

Yes, i should nuance myself, i am hoping this is in the OSupdate aswell so we can parameter lock mutes in the patterns without overbridge

Any confirmation or info on this?

Yeah it’s crazy to think what this means for one bar.
I’d love to know how high the ratio goes. 16, 32?

woohoo!

my eyes have been wet hearing that retrigs are now recordable to the internal sequencer and oh boys these new fill trigs are doing a lot of cool A/B Scenes Stuff to the Rytm!

from now on i will shut it forever.

Overbridge looks awesome, for real! Total Recall in this environment is definitely the Shit to GO!

they have done a lot of false “Retrigs” on twitter in the last time before christmas but i must say iam Impressed.

Cool Buddys! Swedish brain is often Weird but at least the safest way to go for lifetime.

OP-1 does it the same way.

This has actually come up on the forum a few times, thank you Elektron for making it happen! :joy:

indeed - video was recorded a long time ago - they wouldn’t tease it now if it wasn’t soon, likely to be another public beta type release
Based on the screenshot rikrak posted, it was probably filmed in the end of November. If the video was released today, I believe the new version of OB and the OSes are imminent. Or at least I hope

the rytm new trig settings = next level beat machine

outstanding

I think that’s exactly what he’s doing in the video
It’s not - and it’s not what cenk said to camera - he is clearly not muting tracks, there is an option to play on fill and no-play on fill, the action is on track trigs not track mutes - he’s hiding individual trigs during fill whilst revealing some elsewhere !

lets hope this update drops during NAMM!

I’m guessing the samps have to be on the plusdrive, but other than that, everything should be recallable by the DAW?

retrig rec is nice but quantized realtime retrigging would be even better!

now that the LFOs can be unsynced, makes me wish delay times could be unsynced as well… would pair well with the unsynced LFOs for some flanger action :imp:

HOLY CRAP!!! RECORD RETRIGS IS HERE! Sorry for the all caps but Im pumped. The FM features on A4 are crazy, the fill and prob trigs are cooler than I thought. Really impressed. Great job Elektron!

I wonder, do all trig types have probability?

When it comes out I’ll be pretty happy as long as it’s stable. After that, I’m not asking much more of Elektron. It’s pretty obvious Overbridge development is on a timeline that’s much slower than I anticipated - which is cool, but I don’t want to go through what I went through waiting for this again.

Where did you see record retrigs? It’s not in the list on the first page…I din’t watch the video yet though, if it was mentioned there…

so fvcking awesome. these guys should be proud!

cant wait… just for the el cap support alone!

Probably?
It’s a parameter that can be locked so as long as you haven’t used up all 72 parameters in your pattern’s parameter lock limit, you should be good.
