Hello everyone, it’s time for a new beat battle.

Here are the basic rules:

  1. You must submit one song for everyone else to sample by posting a link in this thread.
  2. Your beat cannot include any samples from the song that you post.
  3. Your beat must include samples from at least 3 songs posted in this thread.
  4. Additionally, your beat must include at least 1 sample from Shostakovich’s Symphony #13 shared below.
  5. Your beat can be a maximum of 3 minutes long.
  6. Acapellas and vocals are encouraged.
  7. There are no sample time limits, use as many samples as you want from as many sources as you want, the more the merrier.
  8. You may use a maximum of 2 virtual instruments.

The deadline for submitting your song for everyone to sample is Tuesday August 23rd by midnight Pacific Time.

Submitting your beat:

The deadline for submitting your beat is Wednesday September 7th by midnight Pacific Time.

To submit, send me a PM that includes:

  1. Your beat as either a wav or mp3
  2. A clip of the samples that you used. You only need to include the portions that are actually in your beat. Send this as an mp3.
  3. A list of the songs that you sampled.

Please don’t send anything to me until everyone has had a chance to submit a sample.
