Hurts a little that they took out the OD and changed the BBD to a Digital without giving us a little break on the price. Thats the only complaint I can really come up with on this thing, but at 2 Bills I think it is ok to be picky.
Then you’re going to have to learn how to put a macron on the e

They may have still with the sub, considering all that’s going on supplychain-wise but i get what you mean
Yeah this is a bit of an expense, so I have to really think about if I can use this machine on my tracks and have enough variety to keep going to it like I would with an 808/909. The thing I really like is it also does perc and bass well so there is flexibility there.
I’d love to see him pilling his nuts off at an EU Summit.
If they change the name to
Perkinsons
I’ll buy one.
If they drop the price by about £600
I’ll also buy one.
If they throw in free pizza for life, I’ll buy one.
- You are saying the OverDrive is gone? What is in the place the Overdrive knob was?
- And the BBD was analog and now it’s digital?
- Where did you find out this information? This is the only post on any forum or any video where this was mentioned.
I actually prefer a digital delay, the OD though, thats a shame
If you check the vid @DaveMech posted, I think he addresses that he talked to Erica Synths and they confirmed that BBD was digital moving forward, and that it would sound awesome. There is clearly still overdrive though. Each channel has a knob for it.
Thank you. Yes I’ve seen that there is still overdrive listed on some specs that are listed for the Perkons.
I noticed too that the word “optical” was dropped from the compressor on the newer press releases (with the new model).
So I hope we still have a genuine optical compressor and not just a compressor.
Yeah digital bbd.
Regarding compressor: you can just email them. They are generally very open about this kind of stuff. I do know they indeed dropped the master overdrive to add a threshold for the compressor. Apparently that was more needed. Which kind of makes sense. I did like that master overdrive though the until I played with still had that.
Love this thing! The interface is insanely good. Can change KITS and PATTERNS on the fly, sounds dirty, full hands on control, individual outs, very cool sequencer playback options, RESET button which does not loose time. Bah!
wow, how did you manage to make it sound like there’s the amen break in there? (like, seriously!!!)
Really cool! This is the kind of thing I’ve been thinking Perkons is all about. Seems like the perfect instrument for the electronic music improviser. Can’t wait to hear more and really looking forward to receiving mine.

Sweet holy damn, that sounds amazing
Came to Elektronauts today simply to comment that I want this thing. Dataline dropped a demo video just hours before? Happy day.
