Have the exact same realisation every time I play with it. it’s really a joy to work with. I can let go of conventions , groove to groove , having to make quick changes etc. You can just flow with it , changing sounds while you perform. Even when it becomes a bit quirky sounding when going a bit to far it still sounds great really :). Only the pitch mod on the first two voices can become a bit humereous to me when set to high values in some cases, but that’s basically all. :).easily fixed by dialing back the decay and it becomes a nice short Zapp. It’s all so direct
I’m just happy this thing exists. No screen to get lost in, just big knobs and buttons to get your hands on, and a guaranteed massive sound. It’s what the world needs.
I hope Erica sells a lot of em so more companies go this direction.
Same, I thought it was all analog, seems very interesting, still watching the loopop vid, hoping not to hear sounds I like too much
Edit: Voice 3 algo 1 lovely kicks and snares.
This sounds awesome
Fuuuuuuhhh, hurry up Erica
Wish it had faders volume. Drum machines with faders are the chef’s kiss. Is there a way to mute tracks?
Welp, time for a desperate gear sale
Yep, shift and the corresponding voice trigger to the right of the sequencer lanes.
Anybody know if there’s a recording with KiNK running one of these through the paces? Id love to hear king drum machine work his magic
Can I ask you since you own both, off topic, but what do you like more of you could only have one, the pulsar, or the prophet 5?
Decided to check this Loopop bloke out tonight, watched a few of his videos, does he get all this gear he reviews for nowt or what?
Also checked out this Perkons - sounds good but you’d have to be some sort of MUG to pay the asking price for one IMO
Personally I love Erica Synths I have their drum modules (all of them) however my personal opinion is that JOMOX ALPHA BASE blows this out of the water… just saying like Dazza
Man this thing looks like so much fun. Wish it fit my sound better.
Menus though.
That’s a doozy. I don’t know but I’d sell the pulsar before the P10.
When I listen to the kicks and toms, the pitch sweep is always too slow for my taste, even on low settings. It gives it a flabby basement techno sound. Can it do tighter, softer kicks as well?
A couple of days ago I’d pretty much decided that I can live without the Perkons but after today I don’t think I can, it really does sound good. I’m just hoping that this will spur other manufacturers to come up with something similar if not better at a more reasonable price.
Something like this?
The first 10 seconds the pitch sweep is set about 2, then I gradually reduce it down to just before zero.
There’s still a bit of drive on it because I’m me.
EDIT: two compressors with loads of makeup gain too…
And here’s one with all the compressors and drive and everything turned down.
That’s nice.
Where’s the click coming from in the one before that, I feel like something is being modulated that introduces it? I like clicks.
Fuck knows, I had the compressor slammed and one on the OT that it’s running through too, so there’s a lot of noise and clickiness going on that shouldn’t be there.
