This thing is a beauty. Such an inviting interface - within seconds of turning it on I’ve got things rolling. It really is a good looking machine too.
Yeah i agree. It’s one of the best looking machines i ever saw. Makes me wonder what’s the problem with other companies designers. And what i love about the Erica Synths devices i tried, they feel freakin great. It’s such a joy to tweak around with my Zen Delay.
Congrats to those who received a Perkons or have a one on the way. It is an awesome drum machine, and I am loving its sounds and features via demos and reviews. I cannot wait to learn more about it.
I came extremely close to placing a direct order with Erica Synths over the weekend, but decided to hold off until a few firmware updates are released per my normal protocol for new products.
Due to canceling prepaid backorders on a Vermona DRM1 and Jomox MBase11, I am possibly choosing an Alpha Base now, but definitely a Perkons later.
How long is it normally before a decksaver is released?
I don’t think there’s any decksavers for Erica Synths gear.
You could certainly ask them?
Just managed to score one of these as someone pulled out of their pre-order. What a machine.
Has anyone gotten the pattern chaining to work? It refers to setting a master pattern length but can’t find that anywhere. The manual is good but it feels like a few pages are missing.
Make sure you’ve got the most up to date version of the manual from the Erica website. There was an unfinished one doing the rounds a while ago.
All the answers you need are on pages 15 and 26 of the manual.
I want more audio demos please.
Thanks.
(PS: @Fin25 if you fancy providing a demo through the Sherman Filterbank, even better).
I’m just going through a few routing options at the minute involving the Sherman, OT and Boss BX.
Audio examples will follow once I get a couple of hours peace so I can get down the office and record the subsequent horrors.
Looking forward to it.
The drone stuff starting at 28:20. Oh my lord. Why does this beautiful machine have to be $2,000??
Sell stuff, save up, embezzle whatever you need.
It’s worth every penny.
Doing some numbers now in my head. Sell
my license of Ableton Live Suite, around $300. Sell the TR-6S, around $300. Sell my kid (the younger one), $1,400. I think this is doable.
Sell the older one.
If I sell both I could get a Perkons and some good effects pedals to go with it.
Full disclosure, had to return mine as I just can’t deal with the colour scheme.
Love the sound and interface but the colour made me feel sick, physically nauseous.
Feel free to give me an online kicking, the colour to me is ‘someone took a dump in my strawberry Crusha’.
Will wait for limited edition colour
If it ain’t right, it ain’t right.
