Every Midi Trk Triggers Trk 1?

I’m a little groggy today, so I could just be being stupid.

I’m trying to sequence external gear with midi, but no matter what channel plays the internal Trk 1 is triggered from the midi track.

I’ll gladly take the egg on my face if someone can tell me what I’m overlooking

Check auto channel!
If that doesn’t suffice, dt’s audio tracks are triggered by some low notes in the bottom octave. Make sure the note you are sending doesn’t correspond to these (i don’t have them memorized)

Thanks for your suggestion! I diverted all midi away from the Digitakt channels and it still happened.

However! I have found my stupid mistake- Overbridge and Ableton.

Lesson learned- no matter how scaled down your experimenting- ALWAYS work with your templates.
