External audio into Analog 4 to use filters?

I wonder if anyone can help me to get the output of my Digitone into the A4 to use the A4 filters to process Digitone audio?

I have followed the manual set up and been through forums and still no audio / filtering is happening?

I have connected Digitone L OUT to A4 Ext In L and set the Osc on Trk1 to L -in and adjusted amp and set a trig on the A4 however no sound is being filtered through the A4.

I am running the Overbridge with this also, Digitone and A4 through overbridge on seperate channels on Ableton.

I have also sent a mono signal from A4 to audio interface and no Digitone signal showing on interface. If I play A4 trk 1 (eg. a kick) that is showing on the audio interface.

It seems the A4 is not receiving the Digitone Mono signal in. (I have also tried this with L&R stereo).

Any ideas would be great to hear if there is a better way to run these together.
Overbridge would be better due to only having 2 In and 2 Out on audio interface.

Thanks

Is the sequencer on the A4 running? Otherwise you wouldn’t hear anything, because the trigger needs to get executed (of course you can do this also manually).

I would suggest to simplify your setup for a moment and take some baby steps.

  • both machines in standalone mode (no USB connected)
  • connect MAIN L/R to A4 EXT IN L/R
  • on a new project press the [FX] track key
  • select the EXT IN page and set both volume parameters to 100

To you hear something?

Next steps:

  • remove the R cable
  • turn down the volumes on the EXT IN page to zero
  • configure Osc on Track 1 to EXT IN L
  • put a trigger down
  • start sequencer on A4

Hear something?
