Factory reset 2nd hand Digitone

I’m just getting my head around my Digitone that I picked up 2nd hand… I’ve got a feeling a lot of the previous owners projects and sounds are still on the machine despite my doing the various resets that involve turning on the machine with function key held down. Is there a way to totally reset it to how it is when it is boxed? Perhaps with aid of a computer? Thanks

You hit the :gear: button and then System -> Format +Drive.

Thanks, does this erase the factory sounds or do they get reinstalled?

It erases everything, but you can reinstall the factory sounds by holding down the FUNC button during startup as you mentioned in your initial post.

personally I would not be in a rush to delete everything unless the drive is full, there’s lots of space in DN so just start a new project.

maybe they had good soundpacks there?
maybe there’s something interesting in there worth exploring and learn from?

just a thought…

That is part of the fun of second hand Elektrons. You get to see what the last person did.
