Is there any reason why I can’t remove the Prests folder that contain .strd and .work files? Do I need them for anything? I only have one CF Card, and I’d like to have more space for samples. 
It’s project files. If you delete them, that project won’t work. If you don’t use a project, you can delete its folder.

Copy your whole CF card data to your computer. Go buy a new CF card as big & fast as you’d like (it’ll take up to a 64 GB one), install it in the Octatrack & then copy all the data back onto the new card.
