First Batch or Second Batch?

Is there a way you can tell if u have the first batch or second batch of the Model Samples???

As i see some first batch ones have a few problems

Thanks

if you’re having problems, contact support. if not, use the thing to make music and don’t worry about when/if it MAY fail on you. and if it does… contact support.

Only asking because im in the process of buying a S/H Unit with no reciept

So i guess i wont be covered if something goes wrong with it

You’ll still be covered based on the serial on the back of the unit when you contact support…

not necessarily… Elektron replaced all the pads in a used RYTM for me, free of charge. but I can’t say with certainty that they’d cover any potential problems for you.

if you’re that concerned, buy a new one and you’ll be covered for certain. I don’t see the savings on used ones being all that huge at the moment anyway. maybe $50 or so. and if your peace of mind is worth that, just buy a new one.

Thanks Guys for the Replies

Right ive recieved the Samples i think it is from the first batch and unfortunately the track pads are not very sensative even when velocity is set to full 127

Im not going to return it as i got a good price for it

Anyone else had the same problem and how did u fix it?

Thanks

do you buy it used? but yeah the pad are hard but i find them playable & i don’t touch velocity, play them with 2 fingers…

From what I know Elektrons don’t have very nice pads on any of their gear. I see people with RYTMs complain about it all the time.

I bought my M:S new after the price drop from a big retailer, so it is almost certainly not a first batch Samples (?). The pads are kinda unsatisfyingly stiff.

I will say though that I’ve learned that even though the pads feel quite stiff a lighter touch, as apposed to mashing them full force, gets me better results. Its a weird, counter intuitive combo: stiff pads, light touch, but it seems to work for me.
